Into Nature Films creates a feast of colors to celebrate Earth Day with ‘Colors of the Florida Scrub’.
On Earth Day, we are humbled by the beauty all around us. We are grateful for our those who introduced us to the colorful wonders of nature at an early age.
Filmmaker Jennifer Brown organized colors into sequences: Fiery red, lemon yellow, soothing green, pretty pink then the iridescent blues of the Florida Scrub-Jay. She decorates her visual confection with joy and the hues of tender oak-leaf shoots and vibrant blueberries. Two sequences featuring white-black-gray-brown colors (sand, char, whip-poor-will, acorn, scrub lizard, palmetto flower) offer a stunning contrast to the vivid color sequences.
Films of this beauty are much more than point-and-shoot videos with a phone camera. They are studies in composition and visual storytelling.
With the artistic influence of abstract expressionism painter Wassily Kandinsky (1866-1944), Into Nature Films creates work that perceives colors beyond just the visual and into a more musical and spiritual realm.
