‘Sticky’ Steve Morrison chose a life surrounded by nature. He built his cabin on a sandhill overlooking Tiger Creek in central Florida. Upstream is the Tiger Creek Preserve owned by The Nature Conservancy, where Sticky worked as the Land Manager for over 30 years. Unlike many visitors to Florida who come and go, Sticky made a life-long commitment to Tiger Creek Preserve. By rekindling fires in the Florida scrub surrounding the creek, he ignited new life.

  1. An inspiration since day 1. Thank you Sticky for sharing.

  2. It is so good and refreshing to see Sticky after all these years, still singing and playing, walking the sandy trails and dipping into the black waters of beautiful Tiger Creek. He was and still is wise as always, a true conservation hero of the Lake Wales Ridge and Florida. My time in Central Florida at the Riverwoods Field Laboratory was enriched by the knowledge and vision of people like him. Live long and prosper, Sticky!
